daptika music is composed and created by uk producer, artist and inventor Dave Freedman. Dave cofounded hi-tech dance theatre company Forest Tribe and writes their music, creates set and electronic effects and instruments for live performance. In 2023 he created the Bahoozah, an electronic bass hurdy gurdy which features in some of his music.

 

daptika is an eccentric mix of electronic, dance, jazz and breakbeat elements with influences from 90s rave, ambient, tribal, jazz and classical. A mix sometimes referred to as IDM or brain dance, with exponents such as Bonobo and Aphex Twin.
